Aldar said all 133 homes in the Waldorf Astoria Residences Yas residential complex, the first ever branded residential complex on Yas Island, were sold out on the opening day of the sale, bringing in AED 850 million (US$231.45 million).
With first-class amenities and a prime location on Yas Island, along with the legendary Waldorf Astoria services, this construction attracted a wide spectrum of buyers. The project brings the iconic Hilton Waldorf Astoria brand to Abu Dhabi for the first time.
International investors and expatriates accounted for 76 percent of the total sales, while the remaining 24 percent were accounted for by UAE citizens. Global demand was led by buyers from the UK and China.

Interestingly, 66 per cent of buyers were under the age of 45, pointing to strong demand for luxury hospitality living among younger demographic groups, while 68 per cent of sales were to Aldar's first-time buyers, reflecting the expanding reach and attractiveness of its residential offering.

Waldorf Astoria Residences Yas includes a collection of elegantly decorated homes, including one- to three-bedroom apartments, maisonettes and luxury four-bedroom penthouses.

The residence is strategically located along the iconic Yas Links Golf Course, offering stunning views of both the DP World Tour Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship golf course and the Yas Marina Circuit, where the Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix is held.
